Post SOE 2009
Dear Colleagues,
The European Society of Ophthalmology’s 17th Congress in Amsterdam, The Netherlands was a great success and we would like to express our sincere thanks for your coming to Amsterdam and participating in this event. We could all see that ophthalmology is an interesting field which greatly contributes to progress in basic science and clinical research – as shown by the number of attendees. The Allied health and Nurses Programme has proven to be a great success and the SOE has every intention to create an equally exciting programme at future Congresses. We would also like to thank all abstract authors – all of whom greatly contributed to the overall scientific
programme with their innovative scientific research. As a result of their creative work, 16 authors were accredited with the Best of Posters Award.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the sponsors for their generous continuing support and we look forward to working with you towards another successful SOE Congress in 2011. We hope this Congress has provided you with some new knowledge for your daily work at home and we sincerely hope you would be willing to participate again at future Congresses.

Electronic Posters
The Electronic Poster online system available in the exhibition during the SOE 2009 Congress is now available here. All submitted electronic
posters can be viewed and the software allows for browsing and navigating within the actual poster content, allowing fast and uncomplicated
access to the desired electronic posters. The programme displays the posters in a uniform format, relieving the user of having to search the
entire poster database. Posters can be searched for by number, title, author or free text search.
